Case Study: 1400L Slimline Bunded Diamond Tank installation
Project Brief: Tanks-UK were asked to replace a 3000 litre plastic tank at a domestic property in Lincolnshire. Due to space constraints, and very narrow entrance to the tank area we recommended a Harlequin 1400 litre super slimline bunded Diamond tank. The old tank was too big to get out in one piece so required safe dismantling on site.
Main Project Requirements:
- Drain down and remove existing 3000L plastic oil tank
- Extend and raise up base for new tank
- Install Harlequin 1400L Slimline Bunded Diamond tank to current regulations.
- Transfer oil to newly installed polyethylene tank

Project Outcome:
We advised a Harlequin polyethylene bunded Diamond tank for its robust qualities and longevity, but also its slimline design which suited the very narrow access to the tank area. Once we had removed the existing tank we raised up and extended the base for the tank to be situated on, this in part was due to the siting of the old tank was no longer compliant with current OFTEC regulations.
