What type of fertiliser tanks are available?
Vertical storage tanks
Buying fertiliser in bulk for storage on a farm, estate or nursery, could save you money. For liquid fertiliser storage the Enduramaxx vertical tanks in the heavy duty 1.5SG variant are ideal.
They are circular, one-piece moulded from chemical resistant MDPE, so there will be no issues with rust particles getting into the fertiliser liquid, as could happen with older steel tanks. Sizes range from 2000 litre up to 30,000 litre capacity. Some sizes such as 3000, 5000, 15,000 and 25,000 litres have alternatives of tall and squat configurations to give you even more choice.
Horizontal Transport tanks
For transport to location, Tanks-UK offer specific transport tanks. These are available in a range of sizes, and they’re fitted with internal baffles to stop the liquid from sloshing around during transport, for greater stability when trailer mounted. They also have a unique pin mounting system which does away with the need for strapping.
Cone tanks for mixing
If you use soluble powder fertilisers, you may need mixing tanks. The Enduramaxx cone tanks can be supplied complete with frames and mixing equipment, so they are ideal for this application. Cone tanks are available in a large range of sizes, so please contact us with your requirements and we can find the best tank for your use.
Sump tanks and Applicator tanks
There is a difference in the shape but both of these types of tanks have the feature of the outlet being set directly below the inlet on the base of the tank, meaning that they use gravity feed to completely empty the tank.
Applicator tanks are circular in profile, and are supplied complete with their own purpose built frames. Sump tanks are rectangular in profile, slightly rounded at the base, and would need some type of support to protect the sump and make the outlet available. There are two alternative types of frame for these – one plain and one with a pump plate as well.
Bowsers with sprayer option
Last but not least, Tanks-UK can supply towable bowsers with sprayer bars which would be suitable for smaller areas such as sports fields or landscaping work.
