Come and visit the Tanks-UK Stand at the Doe Show in Ulting, Malden, Essex.  We’ll be there Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th February 2024, showcasing some of our products.

Featured: The Tungsten Tanks 2500 litre AdBlue® Dispensing Tank

Did you know that AdBlue® is actually not a product name, as such? It is a registered trademark of the Verband der Automobilindustrie, which is the German automobile industry association.

When you have a number of diesel vehicles, you’ll almost certainly need AdBlue® as well. Tanks-UK supply a range of dispensing tanks from small portable skid units up to large static tanks up to 9250 litre size. As we can’t display them all, we are showcasing the 2500 litre dispensing tank at the Doe Show.

Manufactured in the UK this Tungsten Tanks branded dispensing tank is ideal for agricultural use, and a good size to complement a 5000 or 8050 litre diesel dispenser.

What are the advantages of an AdBlue® Dispensing Tank?

  1. Cost saving – Buying a tank like this will save on costs of the product as it can then be purchased in bulk rather than in containers.
  2. Waste reduction – Obviously, this also reduces plastic waste if you have bulk delivery by tanker directly into your tank. This will improve your environmental impacts at the same time as saving you money.
  3. Convenience – the product can be on hand right next to the diesel tank for refuelling.
  4. Safety – reduce spills – much easier to refill the vehicle AdBlue® tank using a hose and nozzle, than pouring from a container!
  5. Security – The dispenser cabinet, like the diesel ones, is fully lockable to deter would-be thieves.
  6. Warranty – These Tungsten AdBlue® tanks include a 5-year warranty, but they in fact have a 20 year service life, like their diesel counterparts. NOTE – this warranty is for the tank itself. Fittings and accessories have a shorter warranty.

AdBlue® really needs to be kept within a particular temperature range (0oC to 30oC), and should be kept out of direct sunlight – which is good reason why dedicated tanks should be used rather than IBC’s. The tanks are opaque plastic to resist the UV rays of sunlight and keep the temperature down.

AdBlue® Dispensing tanks – other variants

Horizontal tanks stand on moulded-in bases and their footprint is usually longer and slimmer than the vertical tanks. They have a dispensing cabinet at the front, which may project above the rounded top of the tank.

Slimline tanks are made to fit smaller spaces and have a slightly different design from the standard horizontal tanks, more rectangular in shape.

Vertical tanks are circular and rest on their own bases. They tend to have a wider profile than the horizontal ones of the same size so they will need more space. The dispensing cabinets are often built in to the front profile, with curved hinged doors, but in most of the smaller ones this will project above the main tank roof.

AdBlue® Portable Skid Units

For portability, these skid units can be transported on a flatbed truck or trailer to where they are needed, be it on a farm, construction site or transport depot. Sometimes called cube tanks, Tanks-UK offer a range of sizes:

These dispensers are all plastic, specially designed for AdBlue® and are supplied fully equipped ready to use, with pumps, hoses and nozzles.

Last but not least – AdBlue® trolleys

The ‘babies’ of the AdBlue® dispenser family – manual portable trolleys. These are ideal for busy garages, workshops and depots as they are easily moved by hand straight to the vehicles which need a top-up.

There are two sizes: 60 litre and 100 litre.
